When ÜBERSTUNDE wanted a modern and fully custom event management platform they contacted Ventureon GmbH
A new kind of challenge
It quickly became clear that this would not be a small project. ÜBERSTUNDE needed both a customer facing event platform as well as a separate management system for event organizers.
Their specific requirements meant that existing event platforms like Meetup.com would not be an option. They also needed both platforms to be fully responsive as both participants and event organizers would need to use them during the events. The event management platform even required a QR code scanner to allow organizers to scan tickets at the door.

Prior to this project, the team at Ventureon had primarily worked with Webflow, but realized that the scope and complexity of the project meant that they would have to find a different solution.
Nordcraft was an obvious choice for them since it combined the developer experience of webflow with the power and flexibility of a modern web framework. Coming from Webflow meant that the team were already fluent in HTML and CSS which made Nordcraft much easier to learn.

Joyful onboarding
Their latest colleague Chris joined a month after the project had started. Chris was hired straight out of university but quickly got up to speed with Nordcraft. He worked on a custom news letter feature for the management platform. This would let event managers create custom emails in a visual editor, as well as manage sending schedules, recipients and cohorts etc.
A modern stack
Ventureon choose to pair Nordcraft with the backend platform Xano to create a stack that would let them move quickly without sacrificing performance and flexibility.

ÜBERSTUNDE was a massive success. Since its launch in June of 2025 they are grown to over 1000 members. They are running events in 8 different cities across Germany with over 2000 participants each month.
The team at Ventureon is not slowing down. They already started on their next project. Taking on Ticketmaster and StubHub with a custom ticketing system.
